Clinical education at National Academy of Osteopathy uses evidence based practice to teach manual osteopathic patient care. Our clinic provides an invaluable part of our education and training, allowing NAO students to perfect their skills under the guidance of our engaging manual osteopaths. The result is interns who excel, along with highly satisfied patients.
Thank you for being part of this process. We hope you reap the benefits of manual osteopathic care and that it supports your goal of making positive changes to your health and life. If you know of someone else who would benefit from our services, we invite you to share our contact information form with them.
What to Expect on Your First Visit
Your manual osteopath or intern may be treating your muscle or joint pain, but he or she needs to understand how your body functions as a whole. In particular he or she will focus on your spine, joints, muscles, and nervous system. Your intern needs a complete picture of your health history and overall current health in order to provide the best possible treatment for you.
Set aside at least 60 minutes for your first visit to NAO clinic. Future visits typically last 30 minutes, and this may vary from time to time and is affected by the type of treatment you require. Here’s what you might expect.
