Accelerated Program for Health Professionals

For health professionals such as physiotherapists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, medical doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nutritionists, social workers, personal support workers, psychologists, fitness trainers, kinesiologists, homeopaths, naturopaths, etc who wish to enter the rewarding health care profession of manual osteopathy; National Academy of Osteopathy offers the Accelerated Manual Osteopathy Program for Health Practitioners. These health practitioners will be exempted from taking the basic science courses and as such they may finish the Diploma in Manual Osteopathic Practice (DOMP) program in 4 months full time (Mondays to Fridays 9am to 6pm) or 9 months part time (Saturdays and Sundays 9am to 6pm).National Academy of Osteopathy is a member of the International Osteopathic Association

NAO offers the Diploma in Manual Osteopathic Practice program either as a campus based program in Toronto, Ontario (Canada) or through the interactive study at home online program with two weeks of condensed practical classroom based training sessions (available in 60 cities across 31 countries) in your city.

What makes NAO education unique is that it is geared toward success. NAO graduates successful manual osteopaths. World famous osteopath; Dr. Shahin Pourgol (www.pourgol.com) founder of NAO as well as Union Ergonomics franchise and Spinal Traction Clinic franchise personally teaches business, marketing, financial and clinic management skills to all classes (campus based and interactive). Students learn all the knowledge necessary to become a successful manual osteopath. NAO graduates are ready for the real world upon graduation.

National Academy of Osteopathy is accredited by Canadian Manual Osteopathy Examining Board (CMOEB) and it is a full member of International Osteopathic Association (IOA). NAO graduates may sit for the board exams administered by National Academy of Osteopathy is accredited by the Canadian Manual Osteopathy Examining BoardCMOEB. Following successful completion of the board exam, NAO students are permitted to join IOA and receive certificate of registration and a license number to bill insurers. They may then practice manual osteopathy in all Canadian provinces (including Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia), all United States of America states (including California, New York, Texas), as well as most other countries in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, Africa and Latin America.

The 4 months program starts twice a year in February and September of each year. The 9 months program starts once per year in March.

The tuition for the campus based program for massage therapists and acupuncturists is $12,220 Canadian plus 13% tax. Student loan of $6,500 is available to all campus based students.

The tuition for the interactive distance education online program for health professionals is $5,026 Canadian plus tax. Student loan of $1,000 is available to all students enrolled in the interactive manual osteopathy program. The 2 weeks practical sessions will be held in board rooms of Fairmount, Hilton, or Sheraton hotels or in the admission offices of NAO.

National Academy of Osteopathy (NAO), located in Toronto, Ontario is a school founded as a Canadian institution that would offer an excellent education, be a catalyst for developing a unified profession, conduct research to further the scientific basis of manual osteopathy, become the home for knowledge related to manual osteopathy and be the face of the profession to governments, third party payers, and the general public. NAO educates osteopathic manual practitioners with a four months condensed full time and two part time (nine months and three year) professional programs leading to a Diploma in Manual Osteopathic Practice (DO(MP)).
